We
have been breeding horses since 1900, and still have details which prove
the birth of the first foal. From then on annually and up to the present
day, there has been at least one foal born on the estate.
This is due to the love of horses that the Martínez-Noriega Campuzano
family has always had. We have all been keen horsemen since we were children
and still continue to ride today.
The decision to raise sport horses
was taken in 1990 when we were obliged, because of E.U. entry agreements,
to give up the dairy cows that had been the estate's main activity.
However,
we have taken advantage of the existing cattle facilities: 2.000 square
meters of buildings in which we have 40 boxes for horses, an indoor school
of 30x15 meters and outdoor sand arena of 42x26m, together with a 90x60m
grass arena for competition, as well as relevant facilities such as feed
store and grain crushers, tack rooms, club room, office, housing for grooms
and riders, etc. The estate also has a cross country course for eventing
competitions.
